Everyone takes responsibility for themselves.
The nominated guide is not responsible for your safety. There is no insurance or official cover for these social plods.
Our friendly, stay-together approach doesn’t change that responsibility. Please understand the informal nature of the run before coming along.
What to bring
- Required: trail or fell shoes. Wear footwear suited to the terrain.
- Recommended: a waterproof jacket. Bring one along for your plod.
- Useful: a running vest or waist pack. Handy for carrying your jacket when you don’t need it.
Read the run notice and route category before setting out, and remember that everyone takes responsibility for themselves.
Small Print
Social runs, not formally led outings.
Our Sunday plods are arranged by someone, but they’re not formally led or organised. They’re simply social runs: a relaxed run in the fells with friends.
A guide, not a Run Leader
Each plod has a nominated guide — someone who knows the route, or at least most of it. They are not a licensed Run Leader.
